For whatever reason, I've always liked chassis models. And the Pocher Rolls-Royce Phantom II Sedanca kit is a great platform for a detailed chassis model.

My goal was to add a significant amount of missing detail, so this model adds, for instance, engine controls, fuel lines, chassis lubrication system, oil lines, a correctly sized carburetor, exhaust insulation and heat shield and a heavily modified dashboard and associated connections.

1927 Supermarine S.5 Model

The fuselage and pontoon frames are largely complete. The front fuselage sections was 3D printed which ensured that the engine would fit properly.  The wing frames are also done, but not shown here. You can see that the rear fuselage section is out of alignment. It will be rebuilt.

The engine and cockpit are complete. The engine housing and center body frame shown here are early 3D printed pieces and are only being used for prototyping the mounting of the engine and cockpit pieces.

The photos below show the front engine housing, the finished engine in the housing, and the propeller.

The nose cone has yet to be added, as well as the upper engine shrouds

More photos to come.
